RentWise does not load Google AdSense, advertising pixels, or third-party embedded widgets. Optional Google Analytics is described below. RentWise’s calculator code does not set cookies or use browser storage to retain your financial inputs.
How the current tools work
The saved comparison is held only in page memory and clears when you leave or reload the page. Search and category filters work on the page you are viewing. CSV files are created on your device. None of these features requires an advertising consent choice in the current implementation.
Hosting infrastructure may handle technical requests for delivery and security. Browser extensions and external websites you visit can have their own behavior. Our privacy policy describes the limits of the website’s own data processing.
Optional analytics
Where an “Analytics privacy” button is shown, Google Analytics can load only after you choose “Allow analytics.” “Reject analytics” leaves the calculators fully available. Your choice is saved in local storage for up to 180 days; no calculator values are saved there. After allowing, Google may set _ga analytics cookies to distinguish visits. Change your choice using the same button. Rejecting later disables collection, removes accessible analytics cookies, and reloads the page. No analytics control means a measurement ID is not configured and analytics is inactive. See the privacy policy for the data sent and provider links.
If advertising is introduced
Advertising would change the site’s data practices. Before activating it, the operator must add its real publisher configuration, update privacy disclosures, identify relevant vendors, and provide the consent or privacy choices required for the actual visitors and configuration.
Google requires a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the applicable framework when serving personalized ads to users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. Other ad modes can still involve privacy and consent obligations; selecting a less personalized mode is not an automatic exemption from all requirements. Check the actual configuration against Google’s consent-management guidance before activation. A custom decorative cookie banner is not a substitute for a required certified setup.
The optional analytics choice is not an advertising CMP and must not be used as a substitute for a certified advertising setup.
Ad placement principles
Future advertisements should be labeled and visually distinguishable from calculation buttons, navigation, results, and editorial recommendations. Ads should not encourage accidental clicks or obstruct the content a visitor came to use. The site should not ask visitors to click ads to support it.
Placement and consent configuration must be checked against the current Google Publisher Policies and relevant privacy obligations before activation. The absence of policy errors in the source code does not constitute AdSense approval.
