This policy describes the RentWise website as implemented in this release, effective October 24, 2026. RentWise is an independent educational web project maintained by Naveed Qadir, a software engineer, through the NOMI2508 GitHub account. Contact routes are provided on the contact page.
Calculator inputs stay in your browser
When you enter income, rent, property costs, or other calculator values, JavaScript processes them on your device. The calculator does not send those values to RentWise, include them in page URLs, or store them in a server database.
The comparison feature stores one scenario in page memory. It clears when you reload or leave the page. The current tools do not use local storage, session storage, or cookies to preserve those numbers. CSV downloads are generated in your browser; you control where a downloaded file is saved and who can access it.
Ordinary technical requests
Loading a website sends requests to its hosting infrastructure. Those requests can include your IP address, request time, page path, browser information, and referrer headers. The hosting provider may process technical logs for delivery, security, and reliability under its own terms and privacy practices.
RentWise uses Hostinger for the production website at rentwisecalculator.online. Hostinger processes infrastructure requests under its privacy policy. Technical log retention is governed by the hosting configuration and provider practices; we do not promise a specific deletion period that we cannot verify. The private GitHub repository is used for software development.
Images, icons, and font files are served as website assets. Fonts are hosted with the site; no request to a third-party font service is needed. This release does not embed social widgets, maps, or advertising scripts. Optional analytics behavior is described below. Visiting an external link makes a separate request to that service.
Advertising and analytics status
Google AdSense is not enabled. We do not set advertising cookies or send calculator inputs to advertising services.
Google Analytics 4 is optional and is available only when a production measurement ID is configured. If an “Analytics privacy” control appears, you can allow or reject measurement. No Google Analytics script loads before you allow it. If the control is absent, analytics is inactive. The choice is stored on your device for up to 180 days, separately from calculator values.
When allowed, Google receives page-visit information, browser/device information, and network information needed to receive the request. The site sends page paths without query strings or fragments and does not deliberately send calculator values, names, email addresses, or financial scenarios. Google may set analytics cookies such as _ga. Advertising storage and personalization remain disabled by this integration. See Google’s partner-site data explanation.
Use “Analytics privacy” and choose “Reject analytics” to stop further collection in this browser. The site removes its accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads if needed. Withdrawal does not delete reports already collected. Blocking storage may mean you are asked again on another page. You may also use browser controls or Google’s analytics opt-out tool.
If Google advertising is introduced, this policy must first describe the actual collection, sharing, cookies, identifiers, vendors, choices, and consent process. Google’s advertising products may use cookies or other identifiers to serve and measure ads. See how Google uses information from partner sites and Google ad controls for provider information. Information you choose to send
If you email rentwisecalculator@gmail.com, Naveed Qadir receives your email address, message, and any attachments through Google Gmail. These are used to respond to questions and investigate corrections. Google processes email under its privacy policy. Do not include financial statements, bank details, personal addresses, lease documents, or another person’s identifying information in a report.
Contact messages may be retained as needed to investigate a report and document a correction. Repository history and public discussions can persist under the hosting service’s retention practices. Ask through the contact route if you need a message reviewed or removed; deletion from independent copies cannot be guaranteed.
Your choices and updates
You can use the calculators without submitting personal information or creating an account. You can clear a scenario by reloading the page or using its clear button. You can control downloads and browser data on your device.
Requests about information submitted to the maintainer can be made through the contact page. Applicable rights depend on your location and the data actually processed. Material changes in site behavior require this policy to be updated, including its effective date and the description of active services.
